Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Arizona Newspaper Association on January 21, 1977. One of the copies does not include the introduction and another copy has hand written notes on it. Other items in this folder include two letters from Eugene N. Marten, Publisher of The Verde Independent, requesting Chandler to be speaker and the other he thanks Chandler for accepting. Attached to these two letters are notes from Freddie Miller urging Chandler to accept. A letter of praise from Mrs. Eugene C. Pulliam [Nina Pulliam], Publisher of the Phoenix Republic and Gazette; a letter of praise from William J. Woestendiek, Executive Editor of The Arizona Daily Star; a memo from Robert L. Flannes to Otis Chandler regarding Alan Moyer. Attached to this memo is a note from Donna Swayze to Freddie Miller informing her that Chandler already talked to Moyer and Chandler declined the speech request. A thank you letter from Hal Marshall, Director at The University of Arizona News Bureau, and a response thank you letter from Otis Chandler; a letter for praise from Paul A. McKalip, Senior Editor at the Tucson Daily Citizen, and a response thank you letter from Otis Chandler.

Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Fourth Annual Institutional Investor Conference on March 18, 1971. These copies are printed leaflets. Other items in this folder include a copy of a newspaper article; a thank you letter from Heidi Fiske, Director of Conference Programming at Institutional Investor Systems, Inc.; a letter from Richard F. Colabella, Conference Director of Fourth Annual Institutional Investor Conference, in which he invites Chandler to the Conference Exposition Center; a note from Sandy Hewitt to Freddie Miller informing Miller that 2,500 copies of the speech have been mailed out; a letter from Heidi Fiske in which she forwards Chandler the speaker information materials; six items which included a note from Freddie Miller; a letter from Edwin Gill of Cogan, Berlind, Weill & Levitt, Inc. which he informs Chandler that he [Gill] has been selected as chair for the publishing industry panel, pages one and two of the speaker information materials, a copy of the speech, and a copy of the program; pages three and seven through twelve.

Correspondence and other items pertaining to a speech Otis Chandler gave at the Management Conference on Tuesday, November 15, 1977. A note from Freddie Miller states there is no formal copy of the speech. Other items in this folder include a pamphlet of the meeting; a December 1977 copy of Among Ourselves; a copy of the Management Conference bulletin on a blue back; a letter from Chuck Morrow, President of the Management Conference, confirming that Chandler will be the speaker; an note from Tom Johnson to Freddie Miller informing her that he has put it on the schedule; a photocopy of a page from the Management Conference Buletin about Freddie Miller, and a thank you letter from Chuck Morrow.

One of the copies is a revised copy that was planned on being used for print, as stated by a note attached to it from Stender E. Sweeney, Times Mirror Company Director of Finance. Other items in this folder include a pamphlet with notes written on the cover; a page of follow up notes that list names and the companies the people are associated with; two thank you letters from Otis Chandler to Gustave L. Levy of Goldman, Sachs & Co., and to John H. Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on International and Communications Skills on Thursday, June 9, 1977. One of the copies includes a copy from Martin P. Levin which states that he is enclosing a proposed insert to the testimony. This proposed insert is part of the other two copies of the speech. Other items in this folder include six newspaper clippings and one magazine clipping; a memo from Margaret C. Brown, United States Senate, in which she sends the hearing transcript and request corrections; a response letter from Freddie Miller returning a copy with corrections made; a memo from George M. Kroloff, Administrative Assistant to the Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Relations, requesting copies of the testimony and provides the latest agenda; a thank you letter to Freddie Miller from George M. Kroloff; a two page letter from George McGovern, Chairman of the Subcommittee on International Relations, providing information about the hearings; two pages of background information about the hearings; a memo from Freddie Miller explaining why the hearings would be a good thing to do; a three page memo with a three page attachment, from George Kroloff regarding Chandler's testimony that was used as part of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act; a letter from Freddie Miller to George Kroloff, providing Chandler's correct title; three letters of praise, which each has attached Chandler's response thank you letter.
