Clark, President and Publisher of The Evening News Association; two pieces of correspondence between Lee H. Wilson, Executive Secretary of The Adcraft Club of Detroit, and Freddie Miller, confirming Otis Chandler's acceptance, discussion about biographical information and accommodations; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Sterling, Vice President of Newspaper 1, in which Sterling praises Chandler, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Theodore H. Mecke, Jr., Vice President of Public Affairs at Ford Motor Company,in which Mecke praises Chandler and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Scolaro, in which Scolaro forwards Chandler a story about the speech, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Lee H. Wilson, in which Wilson forwards a copy of The Adcrafter, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Susan Schneyer, Associate Producer of The Lou Gordon Program, in which he is invited to appear, but Chandler responds with a letter declining, also attached to these letters is memo from Gordon Phillips to Freddie Miller with information about the show; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Scolaro, dealing with suggestions for the speech, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter, also attached to these letters is a note from Don Maldonado informing that the memo came from the regular Detroit mail to the advertising people.

Lerude, Executive Editor and Vice President of Reno Newspapers, Inc., regarding a copy of a booklet on their Pulitzer Prize work which Ron Einstoss had asked Lerude to forward to Chandler. Also in this folder is a thank you letter from Chandler to Ronald H. Einstoss, Publisher of the Nevada State Journal.

One of the copies is a revised copy that was planned on being used for print, as stated by a note attached to it from Stender E. Sweeney, Times Mirror Company Director of Finance. Other items in this folder include a pamphlet with notes written on the cover; a page of follow up notes that list names and the companies the people are associated with; two thank you letters from Otis Chandler to Gustave L. Levy of Goldman, Sachs & Co., and to John H. A copy of a speech Otis Chandler gave at the Texaco Round Table on March 14, 1973. Attached to the speech is a memo from Freddie Miller which informs Otis Chandler of the activities of the day. Other items in this folder include a newspaper page; two thank you letters from Douglas D. Barman, Chairman at of The Texaco Round Table, one address to Freddie Miller and the other to Otis Chandler; a two page letter from L.R. Christy, Vice-Chairman of the Texaco Round Table, inviting Otis Chandler to speak.

Cate School Commencement Address

Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Cate School Commencement Exercises on June 6, 1970. One of the copies includes an introduction. Other items included in this folder are three letters of correspondence with Frederick F. Clark, Headmaster at The Cate School, in which Clark ask Chandler to be speaker, Chandler accepts, and Clark thanks him and sends him information; two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Al Neuharth, Executive Vice President and General Manager of The Gannett Newspapers, in which Chandler sent him a congratulatory letter on his new position, and Neuharth replies with a thank you and a request for a copy of the speech; two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Peter McBean, in which McBean congratulates Chandler on a great speech and also asks Chandler to make a contribution to the school, and Chandler replies with a thank you and informs him that a contribution is not possible at this time.

Robinson, President of the Board of Trustees at Polytechnic School; a two page memo to Dan Moore from Jan Rouse, Director of Development at Polytechnic School, which provides further information about the gym for Otis Chandler's speech; a thank you letter from Janet Rouse; four items of correspondence, between James N. Gamble, Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Polytechnic School, and Otis Chandler, which discuss the invitation to speak, Otis Chandler's acceptance, planning details and thank yous; a page detailing Vietnam war costs; handwritten notes about the audience on a ruled sheet of paper; and the program of the event.
