Correspondence and other items pertaining to a speech Otis Chandler gave at the Management Conference on Tuesday, November 15, 1977. A note from Freddie Miller states there is no formal copy of the speech. Other items in this folder include a pamphlet of the meeting; a December 1977 copy of Among Ourselves; a copy of the Management Conference bulletin on a blue back; a letter from Chuck Morrow, President of the Management Conference, confirming that Chandler will be the speaker; an note from Tom Johnson to Freddie Miller informing her that he has put it on the schedule; a photocopy of a page from the Management Conference Buletin about Freddie Miller, and a thank you letter from Chuck Morrow.

Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Fourth Annual Institutional Investor Conference on March 18, 1971. These copies are printed leaflets. Other items in this folder include a copy of a newspaper article; a thank you letter from Heidi Fiske, Director of Conference Programming at Institutional Investor Systems, Inc.; a letter from Richard F. Colabella, Conference Director of Fourth Annual Institutional Investor Conference, in which he invites Chandler to the Conference Exposition Center; a note from Sandy Hewitt to Freddie Miller informing Miller that 2,500 copies of the speech have been mailed out; a letter from Heidi Fiske in which she forwards Chandler the speaker information materials; six items which included a note from Freddie Miller; a letter from Edwin Gill of Cogan, Berlind, Weill & Levitt, Inc. which he informs Chandler that he [Gill] has been selected as chair for the publishing industry panel, pages one and two of the speaker information materials, a copy of the speech, and a copy of the program; pages three and seven through twelve.

"Two copies of the transcript of Otis Chandler's appearance on KNBC's News Conference on November 29, 1969. There is also a copy of a second part of the script that was aired after the last commercial break. Also included in this folder are a two page memo from Robert F. Erburu to Franklin D. Murphy and Albert V. Casey, discussing the meaning of Otis Chandler's statement, right before the show ended, in regards to newspaper's ownership of television stations; a memo from Gordon Phillips to Edward J. Reap, presenting KNBC News Conference's latest audience evaluation, this memo has a note attached to it; a letter from Paul B. Sonnenthal offering advice on how to make change to situation that Otis Chandler discussed during the interview; a note of praise from Marty Hansen, in which he also sends a clipping from his local newspaper; a note of praise from Mark Davidson, in which he also sends his resume; and, thirty letters, one telegram and three notes of praise."

There is no copy of a speech in this file. Only correspondence regarding Otis Chandler's appearance on Meet the Press on August 3, 1968. Six letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Lawrence E. Spivak, of Meet the Press, regarding travel arrangements and details about the program, also a letter informing Chandler that the show was well received; a letter to Lawrence E. Spivak from Freddie Miller, informing him where he can purchase clips which he inquired about in a letter to Otis Chandler; two pieces of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Henry "Hank" Rieger, Director of Press and Publicity at the National Broadcasting Company, Inc., regarding press photos from the show; and two pieces of correspondence between Libby Martini and Otis Chandler, in which Libby Martini praises Otis Chandler on his appearance and he thanks her.
