Mounted on linen, with printed label mounted on the outside of each folded sheet: James Wyld, successor to Mr. Faden, geographer to His Majesty The separate Memoir by Greenbough is located in the same area as the map in L-2 LF. The accompanying Memoir has been inserted in gray paper covers, with title-label, possibly from original wrapper Table of geological groups. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: hachures. Graphic Scale: Miles. Projection: Cylindrical. Printing Process: Lithography.

The collection contains letters, documents, maps and reports related to the professional activities of mining engineer Harley A. Sill. There are reports on ores and mines and technical data, chiefly from California, Arizona, Nevada, Canada and Mexico. There are also some reports on mines in other parts of the United States and in South and Central America. There is also one small box containing bibliographical references related to mines and metallurgy (Box 15).

A collection of six survey maps and plats of various California ranchos, tracts, and properties from 1870 to 1893. The maps are drawn on paper, linen-backed tracing paper, and linen using black and various colors of ink. There are some tears and two of the maps are separated at the seams.
