This volume contains law notes kept by Burrows while he was studying at Middle Temple. It consists mainly case reports and there is an index in the back of the volume of the cases "in their order of time." Notes in other hands, but mainly by Burrows. The volume is undated.

Occasional marginal additions include further thoughts subsequent to their composition and references to current events such as the political situation in America.

A manuscript volume containing the current accounts for Francis Russell, 7th Duke of Bedford, covering the years 1850 January 1-1858 December 31, with his bank Child & Co., London, England. The volume is divided into incoming funds on versos and sums paid on rectos and in some cases very large sums of money are recorded (£ 259,431); entries include, for example, income from Covent Garden Market and payments for kitchen gardens. The entries provide insights into the life of one of England's highest ranked peers. The volume is in very good condition, with contemporary vellum covers; the pages are ruled in red with entries mainly in one hand. The covers contain the title: "His Grace / the Duke of Bedford / Current Account / From 1st Jany / To 31st Decr 1858."

A manuscript commonplace book, with text written in several different hands. The volume is written mostly in English but also contains French and German; though no country of origin is identified, it appears to be mainly British in subject. The text includes seven pages of index in the beginning of the volume; there are also rough drawings in pencil and pen, as well more finely executed pen and ink illustrations. The text covers an extraordinary range of subjects, including technical inventions and developments, animal husbandry, recipes, political comment, sports, current events, travel, medicinal cures, economics, wine, and many other topics. The volume is bound in late 18th century three-quarter calf gilt, red edges, with some wear to the binding.

Manuscript volume of poems and letters dedicated to Elizabeth Barber

This book was began in 1835 by Amos W. Collins, a Quaker living in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. It is a collection of letters, quotations, and poetry all dedicated to Elizabeth Barber, a friend of Collins' and probably another citizen of Hopkinton. Most of the volume is made up of blank pages.
