The volume also contains list of Freeman of the Company since 1685, oaths, minutes of meetings, correspondence, etc. Please note: the volume has been placed in an archival box as it is very fragile; the spine is damaged, the covers and some pages are loose, please handle carefully.

The volumes begin with the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws for the San Gabriel Valley Land and Water Company. Following are the meeting minutes of the company from 1888 to 1893. The first volume (HM 73896) covers 1887 to March 1890. The second volume (HM 73897) covers March 1890 to 1893. There is an issue of the "Orange Trade Reporter," Vol. 3, No. 18 (1897, April 28) in the second volume.

Vineyard Mining Company minutes of meetings and constitution

This document lists the twenty-three articles of the constitution of the Vineyard Mining Company, dated 1849, attested and signed by Edward Crocker and Frederick Pease. Following the constitution are minutes from various meetings of the company, from 1850-1851, the first of which took place at the home of William H. Munroe, in Edgartown, Massachusetts. The Company appears to have been formed prior to departure for California, where it intends to base its operations. They will embark aboard the ship Sarah, captained by John O. Morse.
