    Glued inside front cover: memorandum by Emma Quigley to "Mr. Crotty," about Los Angeles Railway Company minute book. She had called Edmund B. Holladay about the volume and he stated that it was in his building in San Francisco during the earthquake and fire in 1906 and was destroyed, 1938 May 27.

    40 pages; 16 x 9 cm. Title supplied by cataloger. Glued to inside front cover is a list of cipher holds. Glued to the front fly leaf: Memorandum Index. On verso of page 1: No. 5. Laid inside the book in an envelope labeled: Rules for working Cipher "No. 5". Envelope has printed on it: War Department, Official Business, Assistant Secretary of War. The rules are written on yellow paper, same as EC 49, six pages.

    The record books include two Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, 1899 and 1936; Audit report, 1943; Membership certificate book, 1936; two Minute books from 1904 to 1936; Re-appraisal of Covina Orange Growers Association, 1949; Stock certificate book, 1934; Stockholders record book, from 1900 to 1935; and five Time books from 1933 to 1938. There are some loose items in the Stockholders record book regarding stockholder losses and the Time book for 1933 to 1936 has a typed letter in the inside front cover regarding laws for "Minimum Wage for Women and Minors."
