This typescript is a copy made by Juanita Brooks in 1938 from a typewritten copy loaned to M. Wilford Poulson of Brigham Young University. Written by Emma Seegmiller Higbee, the daughter of Charles Negus Carroll, it covers the entirety of his life; his conversion to Mormonism in New Hampshire in 1853, his family's difficult journey to Utah, frontier and pioneer life in Utah, and life in Heber City and Orderville.

The first section is a sketch of the life of Kezia Giles Carroll written by her daughter Emma Seegmiller Higbee. It serves as a biography and covers her conversion to Mormonism in England, describes her voyage from England to Utah, and speaks of her life in Heber City and at Orderville

This typescript was collected and copied by Austin E. and Alta Fife from a typescript loaned to the Utah Humanities Research Foundation by Charles Martin Harris of Logan, Utah, on June 19, 1946. It covers the Harris family history, including their emigration to the United States, their activities in early America, Martin Harris' involvement with Joseph Smith (1805-1844) and the Mormon Church, and Emer Harris' reading of the first published copy of the Book of Mormon and his subsequent conversion.

This is a typescript collected by Juanita Broooks from a manuscript loaned by Fannie Stott. It describes Thomas Day's early childhood in England working at various factories to suppport his family; his conversion to Mormonism; his work as a missionary in England; the voyage across the Atlantic Ocean; his life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and in Utah at Kanarraville, Circleville, Saint George, Salt Lake City, and Spanish Fork; and his contact with Native Americans while a missionary and in traveling.

John King biography

This photostat copy was made from a carbon copy of a typescript owned by Mathilda King Griffin in 1955. It covers John King's life from his birth in Camp Floyd, Utah up to 1947 when he was eighty-five. His formative years taking care of cattle and his work as a cowboy in Boulder, Utah are detailed. Also included is genealogical information about his children.

This talk was given at the First Joint Meeting of the Utah Society of Engineers, American Institute of Electrical Engineers. The typescript also includes an introduction by fellow electrical engineer Paul P. Ashworth and 12 pages of illustrations (all electrical related). Accompanying the typescript is a photograph of the Olmsted Station Power House in Provo, Utah.
