John Hexham survey of the lande of Thomas Hunston Esquier in Walpole
Manuscripts
An Elizabethan manuscript survey which records the Norfolk fenland estates of Thomas Hunston of Walpole; the survey is written in English on parchment in John Hexham's secretary hand. The survey records, in detail, Hunston's lands in Walpole, Walton, Walsoken, Emneth, and Well, noting boundaries, field and path names, and includes details of tenants and neighbors. The volume has interleaved blank pages, possibly added in the 18th century, and on the bottom of the first blank page, a colored 16th century coat of arms initialed H. C.; in addition, there is the small 20th century book label of "Peter A. Crofts." The binding is 18th century calf gilt, rebacked and recornered with endpapers created from old paper.

Album of drawings depicting a tobacco factory in Spain
Manuscripts
An album of 15 watercolored drawings featuring stages of processing the tobacco plant into powdered tobacco, or snuff, within an eighteenth-century industrial complex, most likely the Royal Tobacco Factory at Seville. The album is bound in green morocco leather and stamped in gilt with the arms of the King of Spain, Charles III. Each drawing is captioned.

One drawing book, untitled, by F.J. Monroe, ca. 1880? The drawing book is 12 unnumbered leaves in length. It contains 11 original drawings, three of which are in pencil and colored pencil; the remainder are in pencil only. Some of the images within the book are a deer, a tree, a windmill, castles, and a chicken. The first image, which is drawin in pencil and colored pencil, is titled "Wild Tiger-lily" and is signed, in ms., "F.J. Monroe." Tissue guard sheets are bound in between each of the leaves. Title supplied by cataloger.

One drawing book of original drawings, untitled, created by Wynna Wright in 1908 and 1909. The drawing book is 38 unnumbered pages in length, and contains pencil drawings of women, a few of which have been colored with watercolor. Some of the drawings are labeled. The book is bound in gray cloth; "Wynna Wright 1908, + 1909." is written in ms., in pencil, on the front cover. "Wynna Wright, 8 years old, June 13, 1908" is written in ms. on the first page. A bookseller's label, "G.J. Esselen, Successor to Mrs. J.C. White, 19 Bromfield St., Boston, Mass." is mounted to the lower left-hand corner of the inside back cover. Title supplied by cataloger.
