The family material (18th-20th centuries) contains information about the Dering Motto, Crest and Arms, a printed auction catalogue for the sale of the "Contents of the Mansion Surrenden..." (1928), a printed handlist of Dering MS (U1107), and disbound scrapbook pages of printed clippings, pictures, family and genealogical history; with a few autograph and typewritten notes and letters.
