Sculpture
Antelope and Hound
1 of 12
In Antelope and Hound, Diederich combined stylistic influences from folk art and Modernism to create a sculpture expressing lively movement. The attenuated forms of both animals and the stylized pattern decorating the antelope's head, spine, and haunches relates to folk art that Diederich saw as a child growing up in Hungary and Switzerland and as a young adult in the United States.
