Like its pair displayed opposite, this table features a fine neoclassical design, delicate carving, and sophisticated stone inlay. The tables relate closely to the work of Robert Adam, one of the most prominent designers of neoclassical architecture and interiors in 18th-century England. Furnishings like these, produced in the latest style, with the highest quality materials, and only available by commission, were intended for an exclusive clientele.
