Side Table

Image not available

This side table, one of a pair, is part of a suite of high-end period-style furniture bought by Henry Huntington from the decorating firm of White Allom and Company in 1910 to furnish the grand home he was building in San Marino. The antique style reflected his growing interest in 18th-century European decorative art, likely inspired by his uncle's widow, the art collector Arabella Huntington, who he would himself wed several years later.
