    An announcement poster for the International Electricity Exposition taking place in Marseille, France in 1908. The print features an allegorical image of a woman or "Electricity Fairy" flying over and illuminating the Marseille exposition. Sparks of electricity are shown as a halo centering her as she looks down onto the exposition site, with rays of light emanating from her hands onto the illuminated structures below. The figure is nude and painted in varying shades of green, with hair flowing against a dark blue and red sky. Text towards the lower right of the figure reads, "Exposition Internationale d'Electricite Marseille, Avril-Octobre 1908." Below the title, the print is signed by the artist, "D. Dellepiane" on the bottom right. The print is signed by the printer twice, with one in the left margin reading, "Imp.     Eve Babitz collage

    A collage by Eve Babitz that likely depicts Henry James and Edith Wharton and was gifted by the artist to her former partner and fellow writer Dan Wakefield. The female figure has been cut out of the photographic print and an image of clouds at sunset has been placed in the negative space. Babitz's signature and date are at the lower right corner.     A color lithograph poster created by the Health Education Council as part of their anti-smoking campaign, designed to discourage children from smoking tobacco cigarettes. The poster features an image of Superman in profile, flying over a cloudy sky with a gray halftone cityscape below. Rays of light from his eyes depict his X-ray vision pointed towards the sky and buildings to the right of the image. A speech balloon to the upper right of the figure reads, "With my amazing X-ray vision I can see the harm cigarettes do inside people's bodies. That's why I don't smoke!" The words "X-ray vision," "harm," and "smoke" are stylized in bold and italic font. The lower right of the poster includes a depiction of a figure smoking, with Superman's X-ray vision highlighting a detail of the figure's lungs. The image is colored and shaded using halftone and Ben Day dot effects. Text on the center left reads, "Superman is the trademark of DC Comics Inc. 1979.     A hand-colored lithograph view print depicting the capture of the Chinese Summer Palace near Peking, China. The image includes Chinese soldiers in varying military attire and queue braids while armed with swords, bows and arrows, dragon shields, and talismanic demon portraits. The French military is depicted in the center of the print dressed in blue uniforms with epaulettes, bayonets, and rifles on horseback while waving a flag with a French imperial eagle finial and flag. The right of the image depicts crowds of men in uniform fighting, and one of the men is illustrated in a red coat, likely referring to the British army. Background and foreground illustrate the Chinese soldiers as falling in defeat. The title is printed in French and English below the image. Signed by printer, "Lith: H Jannin, Paris" in the lower right corner. Signed by the publisher, "Paris chez Codoni, rue Grenier St. Lazare, 20," in the lower left corner.     A color lithograph recruitment poster promoting Irish involvement in World War I. The upper half of the print includes a map of Ireland reading, "100,000 men still eligible," with two superimposed insets highlighting battles in Belgium, France, Greece, and Turkey that Irish regiments fought in. The lower half of the poster reads "Ireland at the front looks to Ireland at home to answer the call." The lower left corner includes the publisher's signature reading, "Issued by the Department of Recruiting for Ireland, 32 Nassau St., Dublin."
