Description: An illustrated handbill promoting the University of California Berkeley's junior class "Danse Macabre" event held on December 2, 1966, at the Pauley Ballroom. The print announces performances by Country Joe and the Fish, the Grateful Dead, and was designed by Ruth Garbell and produced by William W. Ehlert. The handbill is in purple and green with the central image featuring a horned-goat's head that is surrounded by psychedelic font and images of a fish, skeleton, and a man. A black-and-white panoramic lithograph view of San Francisco, California. The print was drawn from a daguerreotype by photographer Eugène Delessert, printed by Parisian lithograph firm Imprimerie Lemercier, and published by M. [Michele] Knoedler. The print shows San Francisco's California St. with Yerba Buena Harbor and Island in the center, and Telegraph Hill and Alcatraz Island on the left. Scenery includes sailboats, building structures, horses, and figures in a variety of dress. Text below center of image reads, "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1855, by M. Knoedler, in the clerk's office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York." Printer signature reads "Imp. Lemercier, Paris" in lower right corner. Title is printed in the lower center in a cursive font.

A color offset lithograph announcing the Summer of Love movement held in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. In psychedelic font, the text reads, "Haight is love: summer is a love-in here." Most of the text is in a bold green color set against a red-and-orange background. The word "love" is overlaid in black-and-white with details from Jost Amman's woodcut, "Quibus eo sane, Ordine Doctrina..." (1572). The word "is" in the title is centered by mirroring purple-and-green decorative images of a nude man and woman in an embrace. The bottom left of the print includes the date of copyright and reads, "UFO Posters. 1608 Haight Street. San Francisco, Calif." Bottom right includes an image of the Lithographers and Photoengravers International Union (LPIU) emblem and text that reads "Printed by Double-H Press." Signed by the artist, John Dolley [Dulley?] on the right of the image.
