Description: Three items: two envelopes and one publisher's advertisement, entitled Books and Folios to Help You in Your Teaching and Creative Work, published by the Davis Press, Publishers, The School Arts Magazine, Worcester, Massachusetts, ca. 1948. The flyer, a two-sided illustrated sheet, lists advertised titles and their prices on one side and features an order form on the other. The illustrations at the top of the order form are signed "Margot Lyon." A return envelope accompanies the order form. Both items are printed on bright orange paper. Accompanying these is a mailing envelope from School Arts Magazine addressed to "Miss Mabel Spofford, 8 Cherry Street, Danvers, Mass." All three items were laid into a publisher's catalog entitled Arts and Crafts: Books and Portfolios to Help you in 1948-49, (HEH RB# 603448). The dimensions listed are for the order form, unfolded.

This 6-page flyer is a single sheet that is folded into thirds. Four of the pages list the titles advertised, one is the "cover", and one page is an order form. Accompanying this advertising flyer is a business reply postcard, an order form for a monograph entitled Art Education-1948.

Two pieces of ephemera relating to Boston University's Sargent Camp; the first is entitled Application for Admission to the Boston University Summer Session in Physical Education at Sargent Camp, Peterborough, N.H.; the other is entitled Room Reservation Form. The application form is dated 1948. Neither form has been completed. Accompanying the two forms is an envelope addressed, in typescript, to "Miss Gladys B. Tarr, 89 Prospect St., Sar15 Gloucester, Mass." The items were laid into a catalog entitled Summer Session in Physical Education at Sargent Camp, (HEH RB# 603429).

Two publisher's advertisements for a book entitled An Introduction to Art Education by William G. Whitford, published by D. Appleton and Company, New York, 1929. The smaller of the two is a postcard-size advertisement, printed on both sides of the sheet. This piece contains an abstract of the book, and a listing of the contents and an order form on the other side. The book is advertised for $2.25. The second publisher's advertisement is 2 typescript pages (single-sided), on "Appleton Book Chat" letterhead. These two sheets contain a quotation/reprint of a book review of the same book from a December 1929 issue of Teacher's Chronicle, as well as several endorsement quotations from various art teachers. The second item is a blank order form from the O-P Craft Co., printed on yellow paper. It is accompanied by a pre-printed return envelope.
