"Crayonexing": The Crafts and Classroom Medium

One pamphlet (a single sheet, folded in half and then into thirds) entitled "Crayonexing": The Crafts and Classroom Medium, published by American Crayon Company, Sandusky, Ohio, 1933. Printed in blue and black, the pamphlet is illustrated and provides ideas and suggestions for using Crayonex crayons, including: "'Crayonex' on Paper" (pages 1-3); "'Crayonex' on Fabric" (pages 4-6); and "'Crayonex' on Wood" (pages 7-9). The last 2 pages contain illustrated advertisements for multiple sizes and variations of "Crayonex" crayons. The additional offices and locations of The American Crayon Company are also listed at the bottom of p. 10 (same as those as listed on Box 1, Envelope 8).

The book consists of 6 pages of text, followed by 8 numbered lithographs, printed by Otto Oncken, Cincinnati [Ohio]. The black and white images are primarily of houses, the first two are schematic in nature. On the back cover is a publisher's announcement for the Columbian Drawing Book and the Columbian Drawing Cards. Recommendations for use of this book are found on the inside of the front cover; the inside of the back cover is an advertisement for Bradley & Anthony, Publishers, Booksellers and Stationers.
