"Arrangement As Built P.M.S.S. Peru, No. 21"--title at top of sheet. The drawing shows two profiles--one a cutaway showing holds and engine spaces--and the six decks of the Peru. In the lower right corner is a case/sheet number, "1464-42150"; original right corner is missing. "1/15" = 1 foot"--scale given. "Peru"--on verso, in ms., in pencil. Unknown as to when the copy was made. The Peru operated for Pacific Mail between 1892 and 1919; built for PMSSCO by Union Iron Works in 1891-92; she was the second Pacific Mail vessel to carry this name. Focus of item: Peru (1892-1919).

Hand drawn on vellum; some color. "P.M.S.S. Peru. Passenger Plan"--title in the center of the drawing. "Scale 3/32 inch = one foot"--scale given. "Case No. 406s Sheet No. 5444s"--purple stamp, lower right corner, numbers in ms., in ink; stamp and the case number are the same as the one found on priJHK 00143, indicating the origin of the drawing is Union Iron Works Co., San Francisco.
