Fisher is resting his right forearm on a cloth-draped side table and his left hand on his left thigh. He has a neatly trimmed mustache and a wide goatee that reaches the bottom of his collar. "Geo. Stotler's Old Portrait Gallery, Johnstown, Pa." is stamped in black on the verso.

"Nichols & Warren, Photographers, No. 46 South Main Street, Fall River, Mass. ; Copies of the same at any time." is stamped in black on the verso.
