Kinsley has a small mustache, a neat goatee that reaches the bottom of his collar, and pale eyes. "A.W. Kimball, photographic artist, 176 Elm Street, Manchester, N.H." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a blue two cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso.

Christy has a very full mustache and beard that reaches below his collar. "Brady's National Photographic Portrait Galleries ; No. 352 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. and Broadway & Tenth St., N.Y." printed in black on verso.

    A bust-length studio portrait of Union Regimental Quartermaster William L. Robinson (1839-1894) of the 22nd Colored Infantry Regiment, with his head turned slightly to the right. Robinson has a full mustache and goatee that reaches his collar, with the rest of his beard closely shaved, and he has very pale eyes. "F. Gutekunst ; No. 704 & 706 Arch St. ; Philadelphia" and an armorial crest are printed on verso. There is a green three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached to the verso upside down.

    A bust-length studio portrait of an unknown Union soldier (possibly an officer in the 22nd Colored Infantry Regiment) facing forward with his eyes looking off to the right. The soldier has full, neatly trimmed mutton chops, a clean-shaven chin, a thin mustache, and a high forehead. "Henszey & Co., photographers, 812 Arch Street, Philadelphia. Duplicates furnished at any time by sending name, and number of Negative. No. 8501" stamped in black on verso, with "8501" handwritten in pencil.
