Information about the charity event is printed on both sides of the broadside and there are three columns of text on each side. Prizes for the lottery total up to $350,000. Columns surrounding the print include promotional information about Pattee, testimonials, endorsements, and information about the humanitarian intent of the drawing. Verso includes more promotional statements about the charity drawing, lists names of former lottery winners, and includes advertisements for the American Gold and Silver Mining Co. (scam company run by Pattee), and Lohman & Co.’s Indian Blood Purifier product.

Image of a broadside advertising a social banquet organized by Coburn & Co. for a lottery drawing taking place at the Union Hotel in Plaistow, New Hampshire on Thursday, November 7th, 1861. Tickets of admission cost two dollars, and prizes ranged from 5 cash gifts at $10.00 dollars each, to 200,000 gifts amounting to $400.00. The print is surrounded with a decorative border, and text on the broadside is written in about eight different font styles.
