Big Creek, Florence Lake Dam - Record photo of River Section arches. Johns-Manville waterproofing on all arches except Arch No. 53. Upper portion of Arch 53 is covered with Barrett Waterworks enamel. The lower portion is linseed oil treatment over gunite with reflective coating of aluminum.

Big Creek, Florence Lake Dam - Extrados of Arch No. 53. Upper portion has an experimental waterproofing coat of Barrett Waterworks Enamel reinforced with Osnaburg fabric. The second dark partion is the start of a raw linseed oil application over the remainder of the arch. The enamel was applied during November and December 1941.
