    Microfilm of six diaries kept by Charles L. Flake between 1880 and 1892. The first diary is identified as Brigham Young Academy and opens with a list of expenses for 1880-1882. The diary portion of the volume recounts Flake's arrival in Provo, his time in St. George, and traveling between Utah and Arizona, as well as activities such as shearing sheep and attending social functions. Volume two is also identified as Brigham Young Academy and is dated 1882-1883. It opens with a brief autobiography, and the diary begins in St. George and includes personal musings, notes on family members, and an account of the beginning of Flake's Mississippi mission. Volume three is identified as Sarepta, Calhoun County, Mississippi, and dated 1883-1884, and recounts Flake's mission work in Mississippi and Alabama. The fourth and fifth volumes were both kept primarily at Paris, Mississippi, in 1884. The sixth volume is identified as Sarepta and covers Flake's mission as well as his return to Arizona and life in Snowflake and Springville through 1892 (a letter transcript in the back of the volume is dated 1898).

    Microfilm containing five diary volumes kept by John Bennion between 1855 and 1877. The diaries include entries on Bennion's daily activities in Utah, including shearing sheep, agriculture, attending meetings, and visiting acquaintances. The first diary volume covers 1855-1857; the second 1858-1862; the third 1862-1873; the fourth 1870-1873 (kept beginning when Bennion was at Panaca, Utah, which is now in Nevada); and the fifth 1873-1877.

    Microfilm of a diary kept by Moses Farnsworth during his British mission from 1862-1864. The diary opens with a detailed account of his travels from Salt Lake City to New York and sailing to Liverpool. The rest of the diary recounts his mission work and attendance of church conferences, primarily in Sunderland, Newcastle, and Dudley. At the back of the volume is a list of mission fund contributors.

    Microfilm of the diary of Ethan Pettit, kept from 1855-1878. The volume opens when Pettit was serving on his Indian mission to the Elk Mountains in Colorado. The remainder of the volume from 1856-1881 focuses on Pettit's life in Utah, and primarily recounts farm, livestock, and agricultural work.

    Microfilm of diaries and an autobiography kept by Anthony Ivins between 1875 and 1899. The first diary volume, dated 1875-1882, focuses on Ivins's travels throughout Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. The second and third diaries, dated 1882-1883 and 1883-1884, describe Ivins's mission work in Mexico. The fourth (1896) and fifth (1897) diaries were also kept during a later trip to Mexico. The fifth diary is in a notebook imprinted with "U.S. Indian Service" and has the handwritten notation "Oaxaca Land Adjustment." The sixth volume contains Ivins's autobiography, which is a mix of prose and diary entries through 1897. The seventh and final volume is another diary kept in Mexico from 1897-1899.

    Diaries of Oz Flake [microform] : 1893-1899

    Microfilm of the diaries of Oz Flake, kept from 1893-1899. The first volume is identified as Record of the Life of O.D. Flake, Snowflake, Book A, and is dated 1893. It opens with a brief autobiography of Flake's life through about 1893, and then transitions into diary entries beginning in about 1894. The diary covers Flake's life in Arizona and an 1896 trip to California. The second volume is identified as Record C and records Flake's 1897-1898 mission to the southern states, particularly Mississippi. The second reel contains a diary dated 1898, which covers the southern states mission in Mississippi as well as stops in Tennessee, New Orleans, and St. Louis. The final volume is identified as Record E and covers Flake's mission in Mississippi from 1898-1899.
