Microfilm of Appleton Milo Harmon's autobiography and journal of his British mission from 1850-1853. The autobiography traces his childhood and his family's early conversion to Mormonism; their travels from Pennsylvania to Kirtland, Springfield, and Nauvoo; Harmon's 1842 mission to New York; his journey form Nauvoo to Council Bluffs and Winter Quarters, recalling the winter of 1846-1847; and detailed accounts of his overland travels from Winter Quarters to Utah and back. Some of the specific incidents he recounts include the violent backlash of "enemies" after the election of Brigham Young as Church president in 1845; the formation of the Mormon Battalion; and encounters with Indians, particularly the Omaha. The rest of the volume contains diary entries from Harmon's mission to England and Scotland. After a detailed account of his slow overland trip and ocean crossing, Harmon records his mission experiences in Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Sunderland, Carlisle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Most of the entries focus on Harmon's attendance of Church conferences and notes on baptisms, births, marriage, and deaths. He also describes his trip to London (which included visits to the Thames Tunnel and British Museum) and sinful behavior he believed was caused by a "fever" for gold in Australia. The volume ends with an account of his return voyage to the United States in 1853.

Microfilm of a portion of a diary kept by an unidentified Utah man (probably a relative of William Richardson). The diary was mainly kept in 1894, although portions are dated 1884-1885 and 1890 and some pages may be out of order on the reel. It primarily chronicles daily activities in Utah such as agricultural work, attendance of religious meetings, and Church and community affairs. The first half of the diary is included on MSS MFILM 00180.

Microfilm of the diary of Daniel H. McAllister, kept from 1876-1877 while he was traveling between Utah and Arizona. The volume opens with a brief autobiography, including McAllister's decision to travel to Arizona in 1876. He records in detail his journey from Salt Lake City to Pima County. Once in Arizona his entries focus on daily activities such as digging ditches, cutting timber, agricultural work, and attending meetings. Later entries also cover his 1877 visit to Utah, including stops in Salt Lake City and St. George.

Microfilm of a record book containing the meeting minutes of the Canaan Cooperative Stock Co. from 1875-1880. The entries primarily relate to the cattle business, including the hiring of employees, the management of ranches, and the building and repair of houses, corrals, and fences, as well as financial transactions such as the disposal of butter and cheese and the selling of ranches, capital stock, and steer. Some portions of the document are very faint and partially illegible.

Microfilm of various materials related to the Richardson family, including a family record, autobiography, and unidentified diary. The reel opens with a family record kept by William Richardson through approximately 1884. It traces his ancestors primarily in Scotland, and includes birth and death dates as well as information on marriages and children.The reel also contains a brief autobiography kept by Mary Muir Hughes Bunnell (a sister-in-law of William Richardson), including descriptions of Mary's childhood in Scotland, her conversion to Mormonism, her move to Utah, and her marriage to Ross Burton Hughes. The reel also contains a diary kept by an unidentified man in about 1894 (although portions are dated 1884-1885 and 1890, and some pages may be out of order on the reel). It primarily chronicles daily activities in Utah such as agricultural work, attendance of religious meetings, and Church and community affairs. The second half of the unidentified diary is included on MSS MFILM 00160.

Microfilm of Joab Collier's autobiography, written in about 1905, and two diaries covering 1874-1875. In the autobiography Collier recounts his father's death in a coal mine in 1856, living with his mother on her earnings from a cotton factory, moving to Yorkshire to work in a wool factory after the cotton factory was closed during the American Civil War, attending parish school in Newton (he left at age 13 to work in the factory full time, and describes his work schedule there), starting for the United States in 1869 and arriving in Utah in 1870, working on the railroad in Draper in 1871, returning to school and working herding sheep in 1873, living with Dr. R.M. Boyers and his family, meeting Theodocia at a dance, briefly attending Brigham Young Academy, various livelihoods including agricultural work and sheep herding, and of beginning to raise bees in the 1880s. He also describes specific memories such as the wedding of Prince Albert of Wales in 1863 and trying to pay back a $36 loan his mother took out on arriving in Utah. The 1874 journal was kept while Collier was living with Dr. Boyers, and the entries focus on his work in a store, going to dances, buying livestock and picking up coal, and attending religious meetings. The 1875 journal focuses on Collier's social activities, including his courtship of Theodocia. Some portions of the diary were written in the Deseret alphabet.
