Printed initials and initial spaces, most with guide letters. With signatures and foliation; without catchwords. Numerous woodcut illustrations, including 6 large illustrations (leaf A1r: a garden in which plants are being harvested and distilled; leaf A2r: a teacher and four students; leaf C1r: a crowned scholar at his reading desk; leaves C4v-C5r: a banner containing a poem; leaf E1r: a kneeling young man offering a book to a king; leaf Z2r: three doctors at a patient's bedside) and many smaller ones of plants, animals and distillation apparatus.
