In double columns with 42 lines and headline to a full page; col. width: 6.5 cm.; area of text: 20.6 (21.6) x 13.7 cm. With many ornamental printed initials, some initial spaces with guide-letters, and printed fists in margins; without catchwords. Includes 23 woodcut illustrations (many repeated) of various sizes, which generally depict doctors in consultation with each other and at patients' bedsides. Cf. Schramm. Signatures: A⁴ B-G⁶. Signatures: [*⁶ a-m⁸ n⁶ (*1, n6 blank)]. Imperfect: initial blank leaf (leaf [*]1) lacking. Leaves [*]2-[*]6, [a]1, [n]1 and [n]6 lacking and replaced with facsimiles. Huntington Library copy has the illustrations hand-colored and "silked" for conservation. Huntington Library copy is the variant, with dedication to Cardinal della Rovere. Binding: citron morocco.
