    Huntington Library copy divided into two volumes: vol.1 contains [46] pages (gatherings a-b⁸ c⁸(-c8)); vol. 2 contains [90] pages (leaf c8, gatherings d-h⁸ i⁴). Secretum secretorum was a popular, widely disseminated text in the Middle Ages; it was believed to have been written by Aristotle for Alexander the Great. The Latin text of Secretum secretorum was translated from the Arabic Kitab Sirr al-asrar by Philip of Tripoli, early in the thirteenth century. Translated by Philippus Tripolitanus. Also includes John of Wales' De instructione principum (leaves c8r-g8r), and Breviloquium de philosophia sanctorum (leaves g8v-i3r). Chancery quarto, with paper measuring 18.3 x 13.2 cm.
