This opera alludes to the fall of Bastille in 1789 and uses the story of the 'Man in the Iron Mask' as a vehicle for social commentary on the burgeoning French revolution. The licence was refused until political allusions were removed.

This collection of manuscripts concern lands granted to Luis Peralta, a soldier at the Presidio of San Francisco. The lands are decreed by Governor Solá to be returned to Peralta after being taken away, and Luis Argüello is charged with performing the adminsitrative duties. The lands are located north of Mission San José and near San Leandro Creek. Includes a copy in Spanish, and an English copy of Peralta's title.
