MS note: "Donald McLain 1904." D. McLain. Don McLain worked with the Clason Co. of Los Angeles and produced several of their maps. This lends credence to his hand written note and dating. San Gabriel Timberland Reserve was established in 1892 and renamed Angeles National Forest in 1908. Prime meridian: GM. Relief: contour lines. Projection: Polyconic. Printing Process: Lithography.
