Kashnor notes, "The Western Hemisphere shows the North-West Coast of America as far as the supposed Strait of Anain, with California as an island, also New Zealand, and some Pacific Island groups. The Western hemisphere shows the greater part of New Holland; with the line of the south coast of Van Diemen's Land." Kashnor says, "ca. 1680", Shirley states 1658. Two polar submaps. Kashnor dates as 1666, but Shirley identifies this as the second state of this map and gives appeared in information, dating to 1680. Dedication to Charles II. Shirley notes this map originates with that of Arnold Colom, c.1655, which supplied the surround scenes. This map was modified by de Wit and used by Doncker in his Zee Atlas (does NOT appear in the Doncker atlas owned by the Huntington, RB 70778). Kashnor dates as 1665, Shirley as 1676.
