    Kashnor notes, "The view is an impression of that which is numbered 8A by Phelps Stokes. This has the line of privilege, and the New York locations "a to f" for Utrecht, Vlackebosch, N. Haerlem, Arnhem, Bloemendael and Styvesants-bonverge." McCorkle notes first production as 1655, but this appears to be a later edition based on name change in cartouche. Kashnor dates as ca. 1686. Kashnor dates as ca. 1686. See 093:495M for another version. This version has Visscher's name replaced by that of Danckert (misspelled). "5" (upper right).     Kashnor notes, "This is Lotter's issue of Seutter's map, with the New York view showing the city in 1673, which had been issued about 1730. The plate had been engraved in 1680 for Allard [or Jansson] and had evidently passed into the hands of Seutter, afterwards acquired by Lotter." Kashnor notes, "Locates Nieuw Netherland Territory, with Nieu Amsterdam on Manhattan, and Hellegat, also Nieu Plimouth and Briston in Nieu England." McCorkle gives 1635 date, suggests that Lake Iricoisiensis is confusion between Lake Champlain and Lake Winnepessaukee. Map was first published in 1635, and the Dutch text on the verso, along with the signature, indicate the same date (Van der Krogt, map 9310:2; Burden, map 241).
