Pownall reissued Evans 1755 map with new title and many alterations particularly in the Eastern Section, see 18223. It now is completed with an eastern extension by Pownall pasted onto the original map. Pownall also adds counties and townships of some states in the blank sections of this extension. This is a copy of the Kitchin map of 1756 with Kitchin's name altered to that of Jefferys, hence a plagairism of a plagairism of Evans map. Jefferys has added several new forts and has changed Kitchin's "F. du Quesne" to "Ft. du Quesne, Destroy'd in 1758 now called Pittsburg." The Kitchin map resurfaces after 18 years. Evans and Pownall are gone from the map surface. A dotted line indicates the boundary with Canada. The submap is renamed, new "State of Vermont" is added, as is "Kentucky", but north of the Ohio River. "Province of Quebec" remains, still into US territory.
