District 15 Plan Showing Areas Estimated in Budget

Description: At head of title: "County of Los Angeles Acquisition and Improvement." A proposal to construct a Hollywood to Palos Verdes Parkway with additional parkway to parallel Ballona Creek near its intersection with the north-south parkway. This would have roughly paralleled Crenshaw Blvd. Riverside Blvd., became Redondo Beach Blvd. and the intersection is the site of El Camino College today. The $3.8 million proposal was never built. Sources at base of Cahuenga Mountains (Griffith Park Equestrian Center) and Crystal Springs (opposite current Crystal Springs Picnic area in Griffith Park). Shows existing 44 inch steel pipe supply conduit and proposed 60 inch diameter brick lined parallel conduit. Glendale City to the north, Arlington Ave. to the west, Lorena Street to the east, Slauson Ave. to the south. Locates all fire hydrants in the city. Probably a reduced size map from the original.
