- Kashnor notes, "The printed description at foot records the movements of the force when it first sailed from Sandy Hook to Barbados. It sailed to St. Lucia on 13th November, and took possession of the Island. D'Estaign, who had left Boston and followed the force, collected 9,000 men from the French Islands, and attacked the Vigee occupied by General Meadows. After 12 days D'Estaign retired.
