One pamphlet (one sheet, folded into sixths)entitled Things to Make with "Milo" Plastic Modeling Material, published by American Crayon Company, Sandusky, Ohio, 1931. The cover depicts a seated girl, sculpting a squirrel from Milo modeling clay, with a box of the clay on the table in front of her. Pages 1-9 consist of projects and ideas for use of Milo modeling clay, and pages 10 and 11 are advertisements for various sizes and colors of the clay. The pamphlet is printed in black and green ink, and is illustrated. Additional locations and offices of the American Crayon Company are listed at the bottom of p. 10: "New York Office, 200 Fifth Avenue, San Francisco, 116 New Montgomery Street, Dallas, Texas, Santa Fe Building".

Visual Materials
An ink drawing by Frank Interlandi for the Los Angeles Times. The drawing is a paste-up which included a glued clipping of a revolver (now loose), originally placed on top of a drawn column labeled "God." Additional loose clippings include a typed paper slip of the title, and another typed slip reading, "Below Olympus... By Interlandi." The cartoon is signed and dated by Interlandi on the left corner of the image. Signed text towards the lower right of the image also reads, "With best wishes, from Frank Interlandi." The title, "Come, fellow Americans, let us worship!" is written in blue pencil below the image. Verso of drawing includes a blue note from the Los Angeles Times with information regarding the original order request.

Something Pretty to Paint

One painting book entitled Something Pretty to Paint, published by Ernest Nister, London and E.P. Dutton & Co., New York, ca. 1915. This book is comprised of 10 plates, some chromolithographs and some lithographs, of perforated cards, largely containing floral images and Biblical verse. The chromolithographs are samples, and the images in outline form are intended for coloring and sending. Each leaf of the lithograph cards is perforated along the inner edge, and each leaf is comprised of four separate cards, with perforations in between. The front cover is a chromolithograph image of a girl in a pink dress holding her landscape painting. The back cover is blank. "Printed in Bavaria, 399" is printed at the bottom of the front cover and of the title page. "$4805amo/10-" is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the first page.

One price list/advertisement entitled Picture Studies for School Use, published ca. 1935-1940 by F.A. Owen Publishing Company, Dansville, New York. At the top of the front cover of this publisher's advertisement is "Instructor Picture Study Series." This advertisement and price list is a single sheet, folded into 6 pages. It is illustrated with black and white sample images, and is printed in black and orange. It states that reproductions are available both in miniature and in a larger format (9 3/4 in. x 12 3/4 in.), provides a list of subjects available, and categorizes some of the images into appropriate grade levels.

Drawing and Tracing Book: Simple Objects

One joint drawing and tracing book entitled Drawing and Tracing Book: Simple Objects, published by McLoughlin Bros., New York, copyright 1898. The cover title is: Drawing and Tracing Book: Simple Objects. This book is comprised of 8 leaves of lithograph images for coloring and tracing. The sheets of tracing paper have been cut out. The front and back covers are chromolithographs; the front cover bears an image of a little girl in a pink and white dress who is carrying a large pail and several cooking utensils. The back cover is decorated with a floral design, above which are the words: "First lessons in drawing for children, No. 81." The images for tracing and coloring include various fruits, flowers, and household objects. All of the images have been colored in with watercolor paints. "Marion Terry" is written in ms., in pencil, at the top of the title page.

How to make Crepe Paper Flowers

One booklet entitled How to make Crepe Paper Flowers, published by Dennison Manufacturing Co., Framingham, Massachusetts, 1922. 32 pages in length, this instructional pamphlet provides both general and specific instructions for making numerous kinds of flowers from crepe paper. Each page highlights one kind of flower, and includes textual and visual (black and white) instructions. Laid in are several folded paper pattern sheets for use with the instructional pamphlet. The front and back covers are illustrated and in color; the front cover features a seated woman who is cutting a length of green crepe paper; the back cover features an orange vase of pink (presumably crepe paper) roses. Also on the front cover is the price of the pamphlet: "Price 10 [cents symbol]". The inside of the front cover is a manufacturer's advertisement for "Instrutions Books of 'Dennison Craft'", which lists and briefly describes the six titles in the series. The inside of the back cover advertises three books of holiday and party decorations issued by Dennison Manufacturing Co. "Mabel Spofford" is written in ms. at the top of the front cover.
