There are large patches of cleared land, possibly fields, at the base of the mountains in the background, but most of the land in the foreground is rough terrain covered in brush. A car is parked on a rise on the far left side of the photograph. Ms. note in white in bottom right corner reads "Photo No 538 ; The Aerograph Co. ; 5880 Moneta ; Los Angeles, Cal." The area of the photographs above the mountains seems to have been whited out.
