A view of a statue of a Chicago police officer in the middle of Randolph Street in Chicago. The statue is mounted on a stone base with the words "In the name of the people of Illinois, I command peace" carved in the front side. A metal fence surrounds the statue, with an older man in a hat standing in front of it. There are businesses and wagons on both sides of the statue.

The 65-foot-high statue is mounted on a pedestal in the center of the Grand Basin with the Casino and a colonnade in the background, both with numerous smaller statues along their roofs. The building is two stories, with a large dome and statues lining the rooftops. The Columbian Fountain features a miniature ship with allegorical figures rowing and steering.

A view looking east down California Street in San Francisco, California. There are a few trolleys on the tracks farther down the hill, as well as horse-drawn carriages.
