There are about fifteen steps leading up to the large neoclassical entrance, a porch with four tall pillars and a triangular pediment. This is the side of the building that did not face out over the north pond, and features a reproduction of the statue of Augustus of Prima Porta (or Primaporta). There are numerous people sitting in chairs in front of the building or on the porch steps.
