This subseries contains records documenting the California Electric Power Company and includes addresses, agreements, bulletins, bylaws, clippings, correspondence, handbooks, histories, pamphlets, press releases, programs, reports, and other materials. The subseries contains issues of the Calectric Bulletin, the employee bulletin of the California Electric Power Company, ranging in date from 1941 to 1963. Materials pertaining to employee strikes against the California Electric Power Company are also included. Files are arranged alphabetically by title, and chronologically thereafter.

The Southern California Edison Records consist of materials created, maintained, and collected by the company. The Southern California Edison Records contain books, catalogs, correspondence, journals, ledgers, log books, meeting minutes, newsletters, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photographs, press releases, reports, scrapbooks, and other materials documenting the history of the Southern California Edison (SCE) Company. The records cover the years 1848 to 1989 with the bulk of the material ranging from 1911 to 1965. The material is largely textual with the exception of a few non-paper items scattered throughout.

Materials related to the Nevada-California Electric Corporation's substations are located in a separate subseries. Files are arranged alphabetically by title, and chronologically thereafter.

Photograph albums
Visual Materials
The photograph albums are focused on project surveys, construction, operations, and facilities related to various hydroelectric projects dating from approximately 1904 through 1945. Many volumes depict the Big Creek project from inception through its numerous expansions. Volumes were compiled by Southern California Edison as well as engineering firms and consultants; employees; and various predecessor companies, including Pacific Light & Power, Edison Electric Company, Southern Sierras Power Company, Mount Whitney Power Company, Nevada Power, Mining and Milling Company, and Nevada-California Electric Corporation. Original Edison volume number is noted where known. Some "albums" are compilations of loose photographs by topic. A majority of the albums were scanned and are available in the Huntington Digital Library (see Series 1).
