This series documents the professional work of Monica Lozano from her time as editor, publisher, and CEO of La Opinión newspaper and Senior Vice President of Newspapers for ImpreMedia LLC media company. There are correspondence, certificates, clippings, and programs from awards Monica won for her role in print media, Spanish language media, civic engagement, and involvement on various corporate and governmental boards. A significant portion of the series is related to public appearances that Lozano made at conferences, symposiums, panels, and other events. Types of materials related to these appearances include speeches, notes, presentations, correspondence, and photographs. Lozano also served on different local, state, and federal committees and boards related to education, the Latino community, voting, economic mobility, and other issues. There are correspondence, reports, and articles documenting her service on government boards. Additionally, there are clippings, magazines, reports, and articles documenting Lozano and La Opinión as well as about topics such as immigration reform, politics, the Latino community, and print and Spanish language media. Also includes materials from the 2003 Executive Review of the State of Los Angeles County, immigration reform, Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies, Latino Economic Summit, and others.
