Among the prominent persons Bassett corresponded with are a Adm. B.A. Clarey, U.S. Navy, Gov. Edmund G. Brown, August Sebastiani and Sam J. Sebastiani [of Sebastiani Vineyards], U.S. Rep. Bob Wilson, Robert S. Elegant [journalist & author], Herbert Klein [Nixon Dir. of Comm.], Roger Howell [of Bowdoin College], etc. "
