One letter, 12/12/1988, to The Spotlight, in Washington DC, warned that publication to "cease distribution of...any Times' copyrighted materials..." - they had run a Conrad cartoon four days before without permission.

Also in this box is a memo from Janet Nippell (Conrad's administrative aide) to Craig St. Clair (Los Angeles Times History Center) in 1991 when the bulk of these items were sent to the History Center.
