Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Los Angeles Ad Club on March 31, 1976. One of the copies has a note from Freddie Miller attached to it which briefs Chandler on the event. Other items in this folder include a letter from John W. Hill of Hill and Knowlton, Inc., in which he requests a copy of the speech; a memo from Frank Flood to Vance Stickell informing him of the meeting and what the Ad Club is requesting; a thank you memo from Vance Stickell to Otis Chandler, for agreeing to speak at the meeting; a letter from Miriam Austin, Secretary to Stuart C. Brandy, Vice President and General Manager of Shoreacres Broadcasting Company Limited, requesting a copy of the speech; a letter to Gladys Yonich of the Los Angeles Ad Club, from Freddie Miller in which Miller is sending Otis Chandler's biography and photograph; three letters of praise which have attached to them Otis Chandler's thank you response letters.

Three copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Los Angeles World Affairs Council on March 8, 1977. One of the copies has hand written notes on it. Other items in this folder include two flyers; a list of the head table; a two page reception list; three pages of hand written notes on yellow ruled paper; two copies of a memo from Freddie Miller providing details about the day's schedule; a two page article from Reuters regarding the KGB Police and the Los Angeles Times Bureau Chief; a receipt for a table of six; a letter from Harold C. Marlowe of Hal Marlowe Agency, Inc., extending a drinks invitation; a note card and five letters of praise; a letter from Arnold Caritan, District Manager of the Los Angeles District Office of the Automobile Club of Southern California, in which he forwards a picture he took with Chandler and is requesting Chandler to sign it so he can frame it; a response letter from Chandler to Arnold Caritan, returning the picture and informing Caritan that he is flattered; a letter from Charles W. Gates of Kidder, Peadbody & Co., offering Chandler financial services and a response thank you letter from Chandler; five items of correspondence consisting of three letters from Edmonde A. Haddad, Executive Director of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, regarding details about the event and a response thank you letter from Chandler.

Quadras which states its an edited version ready to be sent out for printing. Three copies of a speech entitled "Newspapering As America Enters Its Third Century" given by Otis Chandler at the William Allen White Foundation Annual Award Luncheon held at the University of Kansas on April 30, 1975. Other items in this folder include nine pages of photocopied biographical information on William Allen White; several newspaper clippings about the award; a note from Freddie Miller regarding the dissemination of the speech to "our top people", two letters from Dolph C. Simons, Jr., President and Publisher of The Lawrence Daily Journal-World, one stating how nice it was to see them and the other about his upcoming trip to Los Angeles; a thank you letter from John Cowles, Jr., Chairman of the Minneapolis Star and Tribune Company; twenty-nine congratulatory letters; three thank you letters sent out by Otis Chandler; sixteen items of correspondence which included congratulatory letters and Otis Chandler's response attached to them; a memo from Clark Akers to Frank Flood, with an attached response letter from Otis Chandler; a letter from Archie R. Dykes, Chancellor at The University of Kansas, confirming the visit and a response letter from Otis Chandler; four different speech reprint booklets from prior award winners.

Six copies of a speech that Otis Chandler gave to the Detroit Adcraft Club on Friday, October 3, 1969. Two of the copies included an introduction. Also included in this folder are two copies of a newspaper clippings from The Detroit News; a copy of The Adcrafter; five pieces of correspondence between Robert D. Nelson, Watts Wacker, Senior Vice President of D.P. Brother & Company, and John L. Scolaro, Senior Vice President of Cresmer, Woodward, O'Mara & Ormsbee, Inc., regarding Otis Chandler accepting the invitation to be speaker; a belated letter of praise from Peter B. Clark, President and Publisher of The Evening News Association; two pieces of correspondence between Lee H. Wilson, Executive Secretary of The Adcraft Club of Detroit, and Freddie Miller, confirming Otis Chandler's acceptance, discussion about biographical information and accommodations; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Sterling, Vice President of Newspaper 1, in which Sterling praises Chandler, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Theodore H. Mecke, Jr., Vice President of Public Affairs at Ford Motor Company,in which Mecke praises Chandler and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Scolaro, in which Scolaro forwards Chandler a story about the speech, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Lee H. Wilson, in which Wilson forwards a copy of The Adcrafter, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter; two pieces of correspondence with Susan Schneyer, Associate Producer of The Lou Gordon Program, in which he is invited to appear, but Chandler responds with a letter declining, also attached to these letters is memo from Gordon Phillips to Freddie Miller with information about the show; two pieces of correspondence with John L. Scolaro, dealing with suggestions for the speech, and Chandler responds with a thank you letter, also attached to these letters is a note from Don Maldonado informing that the memo came from the regular Detroit mail to the advertising people.
