Some look at his chances for the presidency in 1960, others at those situations that might thrust him into the presidency (the death of Eisenhower while in office) ; LAT news stories, editorials, profiles and other material on Nixon during the presidential campaign year of 1960, and a smaller number of in-house memos ; LAT news stories about Nixon as well as copies of the columns he wrote for the newspaper during 1961, commenting on national and international affairs in his capacity as ex-Vice President of the United States.
