Also a copy of a letter from Williams to Mrs. B.J. Carroll of Newport Beach. Carroll had also obviously taken strong exception to one or more Conrad cartoons, and Williams was defending him as "a social critic."

Buckley, Jr., Roscoe Drummond, Barry Goldwater, Walter Lippman, Drew Pearson and Abigail Van Buren (the last two receiving very low marks); etc.
