Approx. 15 items. During this time frame, LAT initiated a program of providing a publication titled Student Outlook to area high school students. It was a brief digest of news and current events. It was later proposed to expand this program into the elementary schools (5th and 6th grades). Other materials in the file include teacher evaluations of Student Outlook, and annual reports on LAT's Educational Services Dept. There is one memo (Gordon Phillips, 1964) on the Times Scholarship Program.

7 items: letters to LAT from educators at San Gabriel Mission High School, La Verne College and Los Angeles City Schools praising Student Outlook and grateful replies from LAT. "Sister Marie," a teaching nun at San Gabriel Mission High School (1/9/1970) expressed "outrage and alarm" when ultra conservative television commentator George Putnam made a "ruthless attack" on the publication. She called Student Outlook a "timely and helpful publication."

Approx. 25 items. Most items are LAT "Management Bulletins" or "Employee Bulletins," 1983 - 1990. Also a 1958 Philip Chandler memo on LAT mail procedures and mail costs, and 1989 LAT flyer, "The Case of the Relocated Departments," to explain (with humor) how to find departments that had been relocated across Spring St. from Times Mirror Square (text, map and illustrations).
