    Nixon, Richard - 1962 Election

    "Seven items, all are photocopies regarding the 1962 California Governor Election between Richard Nixon and Pat Brown, which consist of the following: A two page complaint from a reader, S. M. Forderer, with a note attached from FM [Freddie Miller] to Otis Chandler stating "of the now 82 letters I've read condemning us for the outcome of the election, this one alone has a new slant which might interest you." Also attached is a statement released by Otis Chandler on November 7, 1962. Correspondence between Charles S. Jones. which includes a statement released by Mr. Jones, which also includes a copy of a Los Angeles Times Article entitled "Shell Clamis Nixon Wages Gutter Attack," which was published on Sunday May 27, 1962."
