Materials include: 5 copies in plastic sleeves, Editor & Publisher article reprint, 8/10/1935, "Los Angeles Times New $4,000,000 Home Combines Beauty and Efficiency"; photocopy of article from Advertising Age, 1/30/1984, "By their buildings shall ye know them: behind every newspaper home office is a bit of history"; 1-pp. report, "The Globe," with detailed description of the construction and design of the globe, including the metals, paints, and lacquers used in the project; 1-pp. report (dated 5/29/1980) based on information provided by Mary Sheridan of Los Angeles, who had been in charge of a "rejuvenation" done on the glove in the early 1960s; brief booklet, "The Murals of The Times," w/ illustrations of two sections of Lobby mural, 8 graphs of text; various "Among Ourselves" articles on Globe Lobby (various years); artist's rendering of 1935 LAT building; 2 copies of a 2-pp. description of the 1934 laying of the cornerstone for the building; various text items related to cornerstone laying; material related to selection of items to place in the cornerstone; 2 copies of illustrated cross-section/chart of departments and activities in various sections of building; 2-pp. "Transcription of a record[ing] made at the laying of the cornerstone of the Los Angeles Times [building] in 1934"; etc. Reprints of "Editor and Publisher" article moved to Reference File - Oversize.
