The last item chronologically is an editorial, 6/27/1916, "Roosevelt's return," which states "The Times has no apologies to offer for criticism of Col. Roosevelt it has deemed its duty...to print," but nevertheless welcomes him back into the Republican Party for the 1916 campaign.
