There is no copy of a speech in this file. Only correspondence regarding Otis Chandler's appearance on Meet the Press on August 3, 1968. Six letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Lawrence E. Spivak, of Meet the Press, regarding travel arrangements and details about the program, also a letter informing Chandler that the show was well received; a letter to Lawrence E. Spivak from Freddie Miller, informing him where he can purchase clips which he inquired about in a letter to Otis Chandler; two pieces of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Henry "Hank" Rieger, Director of Press and Publicity at the National Broadcasting Company, Inc., regarding press photos from the show; and two pieces of correspondence between Libby Martini and Otis Chandler, in which Libby Martini praises Otis Chandler on his appearance and he thanks her.

Parker, Executive Vice President of Junior Achievement; a congratulatory letter from Comte de Berard; a letter of praise from Frederic A. Chase, a former L.A. Times reporter; two copies of a letter from Freddie Miller to Lynn Gates of KABC, Channel 7, informing Gates of topics that Otis Chandler cannot discuss; and a letter from Robert Feldman to Freddie Miller confirming Otis Chandler's appearance.

A copy of the transcript for the David Susskind Show in which Otis Chandler appeared on February 16, 1969. Also in this folder are seven pieces of correspondence: a thank you letter from Jean Kennedy, Producer of The David Susskind Show, to Dan Moore; a thank you letter from David Susskind; a letter of praise from Mrs. Art Buchwald [Ann Buchwald] and a response letter from Otis Chandler; a memo from Jean Kennedy in which she is sending Otis Chandler a photograph, and a thank you response letter to Jean Kennedy from Otis Chandler; and a letter from Jean Kennedy in which she is sending a transcript of the show.

Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Colorado Press Association Convention on February 21, 1969. Four of the copies are in pamphlet form. Also in this folder are twenty-three letters of correspondence, which included two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Palmer Hoyt, Editor and Publisher of the Denver Post, in which Hoyt is sending Chandler tear sheets and Chandler response with a thank you letter; two letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and Harold Willens, President of Factory Equipment Supply Corporation, requesting copies of the speech and Chandler informing him there weren't enough printed; eight letters of correspondence in which six are inviting Otis Chandler as guest speaker and two Otis Chandler accepts; seven letters and two note cards of correspondence, seven items in which congratulate Otis Chandler on a great speech and two Otis Chandler response with thank yous; a thank you letter from Ken Johnson, General Manager of the Daily Sentinel; and a letter from Hal Hall, Owner and Manager of the Red Mountain Lodge, in which he criticizes Otis Chandler's speech.

Other items in this folder include a thank you letter from Mark Waxman, Executive Producer of the Michael Jackson show and Program Director at KCET; a management bulletin providing information about the when the show will be airing; two newspaper clippings; thirty-five letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler and varies individuals that wrote in regarding a quote that was taken out of context; six items consisting of four letters of correspondence between Otis Chandler, Mrs. Kurt Steinmeier [Elizabeth Steinmeier], and Anthony Day, regarding the editorial about free speech in Skokie; two items consisting of a a memo and an attached sheet, regarding the CBS Broadcast; a copy of the page from the transcript that includes the quote that was taken out of context; forty-three items of correspondence praising Otis Chandler's appearance on the show.

Approx. 15 items, including: ticket order form letter ; eight tickets ; "Press" ribbon ; booklet - "USA vs. USSR Basketball," 4/29/1973 ; two booklets, "(LAT) International Games," (7/23 - 24/1966) Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum." The USSR athletes canceled their appearance on July 12, 1966 to protest the U.S. bombing of Hanoi. British Commonwealth athletes took their place.
