The photographs are all original (either contemporary prints made prior to 1917 or later prints made from the original negative). Each print is individually numbered with a "JLP" prefix and filed in its own envelope. Europe 1902

Bound in textured brown leather. The title, "Europe 1902," is embossed in gold lettering in the center of cover. The number "22" is affixed to the top of spine with glue. Images are panoramas and snapshots taken by Jack London during a three week tour of France, Germany, Italy, and Holland taken after completing his research for The People of the Abyss in London. Second half of album contains additional photos taken while in London, a several that are variations that did not appear in The People of the Abyss.

Kittredge File

The Kittredge File consists of manuscripts, letters, documents, and genealogical material pertaining to Charmian Kittredge London's family. The six-box file is rich in material documenting Charmian Kittredge (and Ninetta Wiley Eames Payne Springer's) heritage. Among the more interesting pieces in the file are: Dayelle Wiley Kittredge's "Diary of a Trip from Oshkosh, Wisconsin," her seven letters to her sister, Ninetta Wiley Eames Payne Springer and mother, Catherine Growall Wiley, and the letters from them. All the correspondence in the Kittredge File is filed in the Manuscripts Catalog and is designated by the call number "JLK."

About the ranch

Bound in textured black material. The title, "About the Ranch," is embossed on the cover in gold lettering. The number "36" is affixed to the spine with glue. Photographs are of the Beauty Ranch property in Sonoma County, the construction of the Wolf House, cultivation and restoration of agricultural fields, horses, and social gatherings.
